I just thought of another P-word: proofing. I am currently spending the better part of the morning, and my sanity (if there could conceivably be labelled a "better part"), reading through a report that needs to be sent out to a client. As if it wasn't boring enough poring over Excel files comprised of hundreds and hundreds of cells of entered data that needs to be checked against raw data that is by no stretch of the imagination in the same format as the Excel file (for that would be much too easy), it's a report on a test that I had nothing to do with. Which, as you may well be able to guess, makes it a bit more difficult to stick with it. It's very much like reading about someone's day, wherein they list the answers, but not the questions, to all of the crossword puzzles that they completed during that period. Context is a bitch, no?
